TEACHING

Violin, viola, piano and music theory teacher in Canterbury

  • I am a dedicated and experienced teacher based in Canterbury. My mission is to pass on my knowledge as a violinist by profession to develop musicianship, technique and a deeper understanding of music and your instrument, in a rewarding and fun environment.

  • I'm lucky enough to have developed longstanding relationships with many of  my students, and I find it incredibly rewarding to watch them progress and find their unique musical voice.

  • I teach violin and viola from absolute beginner to grade 8 and beyond. I also offer piano and music theory lessons up to intermediate level. All ages welcome - I currently teach an age range between 5 years and 70 plus! It really is never too late to learn.

  • Whether you would like to aim for music exams or to play for enjoyment, I will tailor the lessons to suit your individual needs. I currently hold a 100% pass rate with ABRSM and Trinity exam boards, with many students achieving Merit or Distinction. I am also experienced with preparing students for scholarships and auditions and aim to incorporate music theory and aural skills into the lessons.

  • I currently have limited availability for lessons at my home in Canterbury, so please get in touch if you are interested in booking a lesson. I would love to hear from you!
